Need an extra hand? This simple little device will give you the help you need. The Lil' Yankee Bar Puller will automatically pull bar stock all day, day after day. It's easy to use. Move the jaws on the face to one of the four positions to accomodate the material size, 0-.250, .250-.500, .500-.750, or .750-1.000. Shank diameter is 1.000".

Stop the spindle. Push Lil' Yankee up against the bar stock and the jaws will open up evenly and slide over the bar stock.

Open the chuck or collet to release the bar stock and move the turret in the Z direction to the desired length.

Then close chuck or collet to clamp material. Slide the bar puller off in the X to release the jaws. You are now ready to machine the next part.
The gripping force is adjustable by a set screw in the shank. Jaws have teeth on one side and are smooth on the opposite side to accomodate different types of material.

Here optional extension plates are used to pull 2" diameter material.
